Ok, here’s a little secret. I love big band Jazz. I kinda wish I lived in this era. This album is one of the best of them. Basie’s comeback that rescued the whole damn band! Makes me want to watch baseball where they use a giant glove that actually looks like a hand and wear baggy uniforms, eat a steak while drinking liquor and smoking a long cigarette blissfully ignorant that all three will kill me, and wear a cool hat.
