1001 Albums Summary

It's a fun album that loses its momentum towards the end. My first Zeppelin album, LZ3 is surely one to remember, but also one to keep me wanting more from the band.

Like... I see what they're TRYING to do. And I know what they CAN do in the future. But are they doing any of that here? Not really. I can give credit to the production. Nice and tight. Maybe the band will do better on later albums (subtle foreshadowing)

It's good! Wide variety of sounds that Simz finds the pocket in every time. My main issue is the production on some of the songs doesn't really stand out as much as others. Songs like "Venom" and "101 FM" have amazing production, but I'm left forgetting some beats like "Therapy". Great lyrics, great flows, but just a step in the right direction for production.

Story is impeccable, very concept heavy (which I love!) and the songs flow nicely from one to another. Hard to complain about this album because... how are you going to?

I don't know how I feel about this honestly. It feels... okay? At some points? Certainly doesn't feel like I'd come back to any of the songs, but there are some highlights like "Praise You" and "The Rockafeller Skank". Even those don't really warrant them adding those to any of my playlists though...

Not really my thing, and that's okay. I can appreciate the vocal performance, but that's really the only thing that's doing something for me.

Inoffensive country. Doesn't really bring anything to the table, but it's not harsh to listen to. Wouldn't be surprised if I heard songs like "I Sang Dixie" or "Floyd County" in a store somewhere. Very ear-friendly, but a bit too safe for my liking.

Really nice vocal and instrumentals. The imperfections of Nico's vocals add this extremely human and relatable quality to it. Quite a nice listen overall.

It deserves the hype, but it's not perfect. Some songs (in my opinion, On The Run), don't really serve a huge purpose and are just there for run time. I think Money is a bit overdone, but it's fun the first time you listen to it. Will revisit for sure, but it's mainly just a me thing that I'm not as ecstatic as everyone else about this album.

Really liked this album! Never heard of this album, but I loved the more somber tone that this album had. Disney Girls (1957) was a huge highlight not just on this album, but in the Beach Boys' discography.

Idk, I don't see the appeal. DEFINITELY not for me.

I do not like live albums, but this one was VERY enjoyable. Very charismatic performance from Cooke, and an even more enjoyable crowd.

A good album that starts off very strong, but unfortunately starts to get a little worse as time goes on, around the second half. Enjoyable nonetheless.
