1001 Albums Summary

Ive heard about the beastie boys but ive never actually listened to their music, though i did learn that apparently ive already liked one of the songs off this album lol. I like this a lot tho. Ive learned im a big fan of the classic 90s rap, something about a good beat. I also really dug the different musical tones in this - i read on wikipedia they were influenced but a lot of different artists incl miles davis. Didnt love all the distorted voice effects but i did appreciate that there was variety - it didnt all sound the same. I think i saved three songs: sure shot, alright hear this, and sure shot. Already had sabatoge in my liked songs.

Solid album. Dont know if i would listen to it of my own volition but i enjoyed a lot of the songs. Long term fan of the song alright and also really liked the first song, id like to know

I already listened to this album from my individual project! I dig outkast. Verrryyy good gym/running album. Ms jackson is a classic for a reason. Personally, and dont judge me, but ive been low key listening to I'll call b4 i cum since i heard it the first time. Sue me but the beat is a bop

Can appreciate it for its eccentricity and the beep-bob-ness of it all but not my personal jam. I recognized rocklobster and it is a good song but then it got stuck in my head when i was trying to sleep and it became a nightmare scenario. I like the girls voice but the guy kinda sounded like squilliam from spongebob

actually didn't mind this. thought we were in for some brit-pop nonsense but they got me with a couple of these songs. overall a fun listen.

If I had to pick a favorite song, I didn't mind sharp dressed man or gimme all your lovin'. But overall, not quite my beat of music. It was fine but not great.

pretty good! standard rock - got some classics on here. Not a fan of 17. But I feel like this is a classic band so fun to listen to that.

I liked his beat and rap style a lot - i thought it flowed together really nicely. It was fun to listen to a Notorious B.I.G. album since i've heard so much about him and he's known as the king of rap. Good album overall, though I did not care for how he talked about women so deffo gotta take a star off for that. Probably would give it 3.5 stars if i could but i'll just round up. My favorite song was Gimme the Loot.

I listened to this for my individual project and really dug it. It has a grungy rock kind of crooning feel. I saved two songs, Black Hole Sun and The Day I Tried to Live and i still regularly listen to them cause they're such a good time.

a live piano concert! read in the wikipedia page that he did not receive the requested piano he wanted but got a mediocre one instead and had to improvise most of the show to make it sound good. i like piano music so this was fun but like. wouldn't listen to it again. but you have to respect his skill.

a good ol irish hooting time. i have been forced to listen to dirty old town in many a karaoke session by british men. definitely not my favorite song from the album; i enjoyed A Pair of Brown Eyes and I'm a Man You Dont Meet Every Day.

fleetwood mac lets go. Good listen. I feel like I should listen to it again cause I wasn't really paying attention but still dug the vibes. Can't be mad about Fleetwood Mac.

Listened to this while having my allergic reaction and let me tell you. It was an experience. Maybe im actually allergic to slipknot who knows. I will say, while this is certainly not my cup of tea all of the time, i did not mind this. Good running music and if youre feeling angsty i could see this slapping hard. Id probably give it 3.5 if i could but I'll just stick with 3 for now. Good for the right moment!

stevie wonderrrr what a bop of an album. I love All in Love is Fair the best but it's hard to pick a favorite. previously listened to this in my personal project.

truthfully didn't listen to the whole thing bc it was 2 1/2 hours and i simply wasn't going to do that. it was fine. mostly remixing old songs but kind of boring style. i might be slightly influenced because i heard that this guy falsely wrote in his memoir that he dated natalie portland when she was a teenager and she came out denying the allegations and calling him "a creepy old man". lol.

LOVE johnny Cash. And love that he actually recorded this at Folsom Prison! What a cool dude. I liked the whole album but I really vibed with The Wall, Dark as the Dungeon, and of course, Folsom Prison Blues and Jackson. What a treat!
