1001 Albums Summary

So gorgeous oh my god every song is so iconic. His voice could make a shitty song great but the brass work, the bass work, the drums are all incredible too! His slow songs are emotional as hell and his fun songs are so motivating. So god damn good. Sometimes there’s a bit of emotional whiplash with the album ordering but it’s still all so good it’s hard to care.

Such a beautiful album. For a guy I know to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time, it’s shocking how many instruments are used here, and how BEAUTIFUL they all sound. Also, river man is one of the greatest songs of all time. Stone cold classic

What can I even say that hasn’t been said? I guess oh daddy isn’t that good but this album is considered a classic for many many good reasons.

A story of two albums. The first half is legitimately so cool. It’s fast, it’s punky, it sounds like a mid 90’s cult classic. The second half sounds exactly like I expected the album to sound. A bit more of a traditional pop rock thingy. Despite that, the guitar work is consistently great and Chrissie Hynde is a great lead singer. It’s a solid album.

Shockingly Inconsistent. Stevie Nicks carries tho

Classic for a reason. The hopeful songs stand out more amidst an album that’s kinda woeful and bleak. Bob Marley sees the problems in the world and love is his answer. It’s pretty beautiful

It’s not all my kinda thing, but this album is really diverse and, at times, chill as hell. Pretty good
