1001 Albums Summary

Love the back and forth between Page's solos and Plant's vocals. First place I can remember hearing something quite like that.

First time listening on wired headphones with lossless audio. Pretty mind blowing, especially hearing ambient stuff that sounded almost like something you’d have heard from someone like Panda Bear.

Doesn't elicit an emotional response in me the same way Funeral did. I think this is because Neon Bible feels less consistent in tone from song to song.

Obviously has some amazing tracks but it drags a bit on a focused listen.

Sounds like high school. The range of songs here is crazy!

I liked this album a lot more than I thought I would. I really appreciated "You Can't Walk in Your Sleep" and "Can't Stop the World" which were new songs to me.

Feels like every song could easily go down as one of the best of all time.

Great vibes throughout. Some songs I'd never heard before.

Obviously some tracks were basically part of the soundtrack to my high school years but it’s just not really for me. A lot of the rhymes feel very predictable to me and the production feels very inconsistent.

Nothing that even touches the Smiths on here. And I don’t have even faith in Morrissey to follow him down these rabbit trails.

Not quite as good as I remember, but certainly took me back to the days of the Great Recession where I applied to like 100 minimum wage jobs in a single year.

Not as good as Getz & Gilberto but still lovely.
