1001 Albums Summary

I listened to this album in the car and thought it was a very cohesive album. The songs all sound like they come from the same album which I like. Although not something I would usually listen to, I thought this was a pleasant listen. Kind of felt like I’d been transported back to the 50s. Lyrics are basic but sweet and romantic. Overall very interesting listen with some songs I already knew so was nice to listen to this album in full to see where they come from.

Great album - going to rate it a 4/5. Starts off very well but I thought the last few tracks were slow and a little sad - kinda left me on a downer after the beginning of the album. I’m usually not one for really sexual albums but this one felt slightly better. Old school sexy is way better than modern day sexy. My favourite part about this album was the waa waa effect of the guitar.

Good album with some really good songs. Great sounding guitar and brilliant voice. Interesting to listen to this album as an inhaler fan - their voices sound very similar at times and you can definitely hear the inspirations for inhalers albums. Overall a great listen, but didn’t stand out too much so I can’t rate any more than a 3. It cery much sounds like old school indie music. My favourite song was probably ‘Who’s gonna ride your wild horses’.

Genuinely so boring I had to skip. I’m not a fan of instrumentals. Elevator music.

Good album. Short and sweet. Nice acoustic vibe with a unique sound.

I thought I would like this album - I didn’t. Cringed me out because I felt like it was trying to be cool. I liked ‘soma’ but that was it. Wont be listening to it again but gave it a 2 instead of a 1 because I can appreciate the music in some parts
