1001 Albums Summary

- (Nice Dream) is the only one memorable to me so far - I know some of the songs. But I don't think I really like any song in particular.

Dogshit. I can't even finish the album because it's so boring. It's worse than The Bends, and I dislike The Bends. Fucking overrated band.

- I love the ska influence and the horns. - Got a bit muddled there, and the song started sounding a bit samey. - Overall, a good record.

- Most of the songs blurred together. - The standout to me is Otis' cover of Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come. - I prefer none of the covers over the original version of the songs.

God, I love short LPs. Both Young Americans and Fame are in this. Those two songs got this album 4/5 stars.

- I love the contrast between the backing tracks and Björk's emotional vocals. - Not the biggest fan of Björk's vocals, but my god, what an LP. - Favourite songs: There's More To Life Than This, Like Someone In Love, Big Time Sensuality

Maybe this genre of music isn't for me

Best soundtrack album ever.

- Inoffensive LP. Bang-on average. - Their cover of Mrs. Robinson is automatically inferior since there was no vocal harmony.

Nothing special

- What a ripper of an opening. I love when a musician knows when they made a great melody and doesn't bother to add vocals to it (Choke by The Cardigans being another example of this).

I hate pretty much every slow-tempo song on this LP

The LP is so '80s. Not in a bad way, per se, but it is a bit cheesy and I feel like I need some palate cleanser with some Purple Rain (which is ironic because Purple Rain as a whole was released just two years after this LP).
