Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Jul 06 2026

This was a very soothing, calming album that provided beautiful saxophone segments and this serves as a album to sit and listen to or to slow dance to. Astrud Gilberto provides a very beautiful voice throughout some of the songs. The references to places in brazil are also very nice. Does get a bit repetitive but still a great album

This was an old blues album that was personally made weaker due to it being live. On top of this, this is not really my type of music but at least Sam Cooke has a decent voice.

The Yes Album by Yes
Jul 08 2026

This album is an interesting one in the sense that some of the songs stretch out to over 9 minutes. The overall tone is rock, which I like, but most of the songs don't seem to have an eclipse, which I don't like. This is definitely a listen to album rather then an album to dance to. Some more things I do LIKE us the inclusion of many different instruments and odd noises but the one thing that truly brings this album down for me is the repetition that seems to drag on and on in some of the songs. BUT because I like rock and some of the things that this album achieved, I'll give it a 3/5.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Jul 09 2026

A good album that is a rock hit and uses amazing guitar riffs and a good voice. My only issues with it is that she seems to talk rather then sing to a melody at times and the beats are not entirely unique. But it still deserves a 4/5.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jul 10 2026

Calming album that I fell asleep to but nothing really special. I have also disliked the idea of a cover only album. Willie nelson is one of the country goats though, so I will give this album a 3/5.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jul 13 2026

Super meh album to me because all of the songs are low-key the same. Once you've heard one, you've heard all. I listen les to the first three songs and skimmed through the rest and found myself to be bored. 2/5

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jul 14 2026

Absolutely amazing album that should be a rock music lovers paradise. The album has many distinct noises and amazing sounds and includes a wide arrangement of instruments l. Throughout the album, I never found myself to be bored. 5/5

One World by John Martyn
Jul 15 2026

Kinda boring album with a meh voice and a meh soundtrack. There really wasn't anything appealing for me. 2/5

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Jul 16 2026

Super boring album that I feel like I genuinely dislike due to there being no willingness to experiment. 1/5

Jul 17 2026

Great album for its time that has genius rhymes and amazing lyrics. Although it's old style, it has a sound that compelled me to listen to more of his music. 5/5

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Jul 20 2026

Fire album that shows her amazing skill. 5/5
