Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jul 14 2026

This isn't my favourite Neil Young Album... Not by a long shot. But, I know every word to every song. They are a part of me so how can I give it anything else but 5 stars

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Jul 15 2026

I get it. Some good moments but, I'll never listen to this album again. Maybe if it caught me at a different point in my life. So much wankin about. I thought the line was "ooooo I need a delicate woman"... Way off

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Jul 16 2026

Imagine it's Springtime 1970, your friend Tommy brings this record to your apartment in Park Slope. You listen to this album for the first time while rolling joints and getting ready for a picnic with a few other friends. Safe to say S & G were 3 or 4 steps ahead of the shoeshine with this one. 5 big Fat Stars. What I wouldn't give to go back. This album really brings that time back to life even though we all lost touch decades ago. Tommy is still living in the city. Always did. Never really travelled, never had a family. I know he's still alive. I wonder if he still has that record. Wonder if he ever listens to it and what it brings up for him. Does he think about that day? Craig & Sue got married then quickly divorced. He became a New York cop and their relationship couldn't handle it. He was always a bit conservative. Always a bit of a piece of shit but when he got into the academy he went all the way to being a proper New York cop. He's been retired in Florida now for almost 20 years. I can almost guarantee he hasn't listened to this album again since that day. Sue never remarried. I haven't thought about her in ages. If she died who would tell me? It's possible she died 10 years ago. She got a rough deal. With Craig, her family, the city, the cops... All of it. I should look her up

I've always thought one day I'll get into Pink Floyd. Thank you 1001 albums for clearing that thought from my brain. This ain't for me

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Jul 23 2026

I'm 9 albums in and I'm seriously questioning the list makers. I believe I could live a very full musical life without ever having heard this album
