1001 Albums Summary

it’s not horrible but it’s just not my thing. i’m not an instrument music kind of person. i can objectively appreciate all the guitar solos and nice drums but ultimately it’s just not my favourite genre. some good gems here like nothing else matters, enter sandman and the god that failed. but as i am not super familiar with the band and genre it just sounds like generic no copyright metal music which makes sense because this is where they all took inspiration from. also weird seeing dont tread on me here (song imagery etc) and seeing what it means nowadays #awkward

fun to listen to even though i don’t love live albums. the songs all sound very similar but not too bad. just a neutral experience for me.

not for me

more of a 2.5. i'm feeling very 2004 today. the first half is undeniably fun & good, but there's a steep decline in the second half. the sound is very repetitive and you can truly feel it in the second half (even though there's change your mind in the second half and that's the best song in that half). to be honest i didn't really grow up listening to this (quite a bit young for that) so i don't hold a lot of nostalgia for this particular album, but i did listen to battle born incessantly in middle school so maybe i am biased.
