I appreciate the sentiment of the album. I feel like these types of folk albums aren't as popular or appreciated given the climate of the current age. Self-reflection and understanding one's surroundings are lost among the noise; this noise depends on what the individual decides to engross themselves with and the medium they choose to do so. I can appreciate the album's attempt to be grounded with a simple message emphasized through melodies and digestible lyrics. Although some of the themes may be dated, I believe the overarching idea is communicated in a way that can still connect with listeners today.
