1001 Albums Summary

Stunningly good. Beautiful guitar work and much more inspired lyrics than I expected.

Super theatrical opening. I’ve never really listened to this type of ballad rock much before. My high school girlfriend’s dad tried to convince me what a great album it was. I sailed the seas on the rickety, ramshackle vessels of yore and just couldn’t get into it. He told me I needed a hifi system to really appreciate it. Clearly there is some creative ish going on. Thin ice lyrics were solid, another brick in the wall is interesting. I sort of feel the sonic innovation when listening though it’s just not yet at least something I’d revisit a lot.
