1001 Albums Summary

Im too young to know but apparently stankonia was such a cultural shock, and I can definitely see why,as it still sounds so fresh. An immaculate vibe, and so unique that every time I occasionally relisten to it I have to get used to it for the first half hour. Completely different from anything else that had come out the south at the time (and I think the south in the 90s was the most forward thinking hip hop scene in the world, so that's saying it all really). There are some songs and interludes I don't really care for but the overall listen remains solid even in its 73 minutes runtime. Fantastic, 9/10

Damn she passed away right after I listened to her for the first time, RIP

2nd album of hers in a row, still not really my cup of tea but slighlty better than a costo of manu colors. Good, 7/10

Perfectly well made traditional 60s baroque pop, didnt feel interesting at first but its a damn amazing album.
