1001 Albums Summary

04/09/26 - I think I've listened to it in full before? some of the medley was a little unfamiliar but that might just be in comparison to the Side A songs I've heard approximately a million times songs from this were used to incredible effect in Lindsay Ellis' Yoko Ono video often considered the Beatles' best and I might have to agree though The White Album and Revolver are my personal favourites I actually really enjoy the weirdness of Maxwell's Silver Hammer - Paul's giggle just over a minute in is a highlight of the whole album forgot how good I Want You (She's So Heavy) is! my favourite on this particular listen medley is amazingly tightly constructed A little conflicted on whether her Majesty was a truly necessary addition but i like it nonetheless A well earned and expected 5/5

06/09/26 - totally unfamiliar to me but really liked it! every song written while Neil Young had a fever is incredible

never heard before (apart from Juicy & Big Poppa) several songs I'd listen to again, really liked this one but what is Biggie's problem with Tina Turner?? also docked -1 star for the unpleasant discovery that Diddy was reponsible for the production I was enjoying so much

mostly new to me - 4.5/5 (rounded down as I'm trying to save my fives!) favourites: Whole Lotta Love, Thank You, Heartbreaker, Ramble On Living Loving Maid & Moby Dick could probably have been left off
