Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Sep 26 2026

Overall pretty enjoyable album. This was the first stones album I listened to and it was an entertaining hour and a bit, and usually if find that a bit too long for an album. I think there were two songs I wasn’t massive on which were “shake your hips” and “I just want to see his face”. If I had to list some standout songs I would definitely say “tumbling dice”, “sweet Virginia”, “Ventilator blues” and “let it loose”. Overall I give it a 4/5 and would listen to it again, enjoyed the bluesy elements of it the most.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Sep 27 2026

Although I was worried with the direction the album began in with probably my least favourite song on the album “Rainy day women”, I must say that there are some absolutely brilliant songs on here: “Visions of Johanna”, “one of us must know”, “Stuck inside of mobile with the Memphis blues”, “Sad-eyed lady of the lowlands”. Whilst I have only listed four songs I must say I am quite happy to have been proven wrong.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Sep 28 2026

As much as I hate Micheal Jackson as a person this is not a bad album, I struggled to separate the music from the artist. Initially I knew obviously his hits of the album but never listened to it. Take the first song “wanna be starting something” whilst catchy is far too long for my liking, also wtf with “You’re a vegetable” as a lyric. However I mean when he starts going a bit funky in “baby be mine” I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Also wasn’t expecting to hear Paul McCartney on here, bit random but didn’t mind it. In terms of how the album flows this is definitely one of the least cohesive, which is a something i values so I found it quite disappointing no matter how good some of the songs are. Overall the songs are relatively solid some definitely more than others ( I mean it’s the music video that makes thriller) , but I think it listens better if each the songs were singles. Not terrible for a nonce. If I could I would rank as 2.5 out of 5.

As a lover of David Bowie I was ashamed to admit I hadn’t previously listened to this album. My word though, I absolutely love it. What a fun album, it started off strong with “five years”, but when “moon age dream” started I was blown away. This album flows just so well. Obviously “star man” is a banger but to be fair every track on here is brilliant. One of my favourites was “Ziggy stardust”.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Sep 30 2026

I have never really listened to reggae properly before this but I quite liked this album. There were some pretty cool songs on here I think my particular favourite was “so jah s’eh” but I also really enjoyed “them belly full (but we hungry)”. From listening to this I can really see why people enjoy Bob Marley’s music so much and I am tempted to listen to another of his albums. I would rather give this album 3.5 but as this website can’t do that I give it 3 stars
