Having only played the hits, I didn’t realize how silly and pop culture reverential S&G can get. Also didn’t know Phoebe Bridgers ripped the Christmas song/news montage from them.
Didn’t like this album when it came out. Can’t say it’s grown on me. Too much whisper talk singing nothing as fresh or clever as her first album. Though a bit of credit to Wildflower & L’amore, they have more going on than I remembered.
Groundbreaking for its time, cute by today’s standards. Still a fun listen!
An enjoyable listen with some solid tunes, but couldn’t shake the “we have Sgt. Peppers at home” vibes. Starts really strong, but started to lose me by the end.
Very sweet! But with 6 disks I couldn’t get through it all in one day.
