Somebody to Love and White Rabbit are tunes, other than that I don’t really engage with this style of music. It’s quite slow and mellow and doesn’t really stand out, leading to a lot of the songs blending together. I can see where the appreciation for this album comes from but other than 2 or 3 standout tracks it’s just alright.
Very nice soul songs, easy listening. I was surprised to hear a couple of songs that have remained culturally relevant in the modern era. Those are highlights but each song in this album is very listenable.
It’s alright This genre of rock is so meandering I don’t like the whispy vocals they leave no impact, it feels like they are meant to blend in. I did like Sprawl II actually, it sounded different to everything else on the album. It definitely did the job of making me feel the urban drabness it frames its concept around. God I’m glad we moved away from this era
