I have anti-nostalgia for AC/DC. It was the music of the people I didn't like, and didn't want to grow up like. That aside, this is really solid album, albeit one that's not to my taste.

So glad to listen to this one all the way through!

Although I listen to a good load of heavy music and music with saturation, I've never been a huge fan of hard rock and/or heavy metal (especially NWOBHM and the likes), mostly because I can't keep up, it's too high power for me. I enjoy a song once in a while, but a whole record is hard to swallow for me. It exhausts me. So yeah, this is 5 stars hard rock, it's full of absolute classic and it's hard not to have feet taping in unison with the music, but it's too much. I'd rather listen to some good ol'punk: it's high energy all the same but in most cases they have the decency to keep under 30 min (hell, under 20 min even)

I listened to this album, and I still think that AC/DC is somewhat overrated. Yes, it's rock 'n' roll. Yes, it's hard rock. But neither this nor any of the following albums were innovative to the genre.

It is Highway to Hell by AC/DC, what more is there to say?

The very definition of all killer, no filler - this album set the template for metal through the 80s. Absolutely blistering all the way through, with the only downside is that some of the lyrics haven’t aged particularly well, especially Night Prowler. Highway to Hell also feels bitter sweet, knowing the way that singer Bon Scott was to die less than a year after this was released. Still a classic though

Rock'n'Roll 🤘

Fine, if you don't listen to the lyrics.
