There was my life before this album and there is my life after this album. At one point I could play every song on bass but Gangland.

I had a buddy who had this on a 2fer cassette, Side 1 Paranoid, Side 2 Heaven and Hell. At one point in my life I could play this entire album on bass.

Metallica started for me in 1983 with Kill 'Em All. Almost as revelatory as Maiden in my life. Same buddy with the 2fer Sabbath tape sold it to me on Christmas break in '83. First time I saw them live was 8/31/85. Day on the Green. Watch For Whom the Bell Tolls from that gig on YouTube. Everybody say "Hi Cliff." I saw this them on this tour opening for Ozzy in San Francisco. Master was the apex.

This is the right pick for Priest albums, but I would have also added Screaming for Vengeance, Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin After Sin and Stained Class to the list.

This is the desert island album. I discovered Floyd in my teens and I still listen to them frequently.

Jimi is the GOAT. This album is responsible for my love of psychedelic rock music.

My Uncle gave this album to my brother and me when were still single digits. I didn't get it until I was 15 and watched their performance at Woodstock. This album is a masterpiece. Their 1st 4 albums should be on this list.

You're either gonna love it or hate it. I personally love it. Hall of the Mountain Grill or Warrior on the Edge of Time would've probably been a better entry point though. Lemmy Rules.

If I had it to do all over again I would've followed the Grateful Dead around on tour after I got out of high school. It would have only been for 7 years because of Jerry passing but it would've been a real good time. I still miss Jerry.
