Popular Reviews

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.

The cover of Walk This Way charted higher than Aerosmith's original and is one of the most important and pivotal tracks in hip-hop history and I would gladly give this album 8 stars if I could for that track alone. Also I wish the honkies that run this thing would give us more rap and hip-hop.

Murder Ballads by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

I liked this more than I thought I would. The dark storytelling reminds me a lot of Eminem, with more of a Johnny Cash spin on the beats. I hope death is not the end.

Homework by Daft Punk

I thought this was pretty good and there aren't that many lyrics which makes it nice work music aside from that "Around the World" song which I think is what they used to brainwash operatives during the Cold War.

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor

My mom used to listen to a lot of James Taylor when I was a kid and I got very burned out on it, but I was surprised by how much I like it now... maybe I'm getting old. Fire and Rain is great, and Steamroller is fun because Mama Rims used to skip that song because it's too dirty. I still think you need to be in the right mood for James Taylor but I found it pleasantly digestible.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails

I think this album would make a great soundtrack for a Fast and Furious movie but I did not enjoy listening to it.
