Gritty. Music was great and we know ice cube is a talent when writing about a life he relates to. Not a life I relate to but was nice too be brought into that world.
Tell you what. Not a bad listen. Could have done with a few songs chopped off the album but I am impressed. Originally I thought oh no not another woodsman hippy folk album with echoed voices and clean resenting guitar pics. But then the honky tonk was thrown into the mix which brought a smile and an appreciation nod.
An album I have listened to many times before. A very impressive and soothing album for me as the style of music is not often on my play list, making it a great escape. It's hard to believe that the main singer and songwriter was only 22 when this came out and which shows true individual talent and provides a hidden appreciation for this album that most might miss.
Different. Liked it. Proper inbread hick stuff.
