Born in the 90s, the imagination of Spiritualized, which quite literally aimed towards the heavens, was able to be realised in part due to material abundance and solemn optimism for the upcoming new millennia. Beyond the exhaustive and ultimately banal analysins of production, songwriting and other technical details which are required in music making, it is a masterpiece for the simple reason that it aims to be one.
