Bitches Brew by Miles Davis

nazi scientists pioneered the use of powdered orange juice drink but we dont put them on the '1001 scientists you need to know about' list saying that, I didn't hate this completely, there was a head bop or two I could imagine myself in a swanky jazz club listening to this - only manageable by the copious amounts of cocaine I would have to do to enjoy it

Gives me such strong 90s energy. Weird album progression, feel like I go from strong positive bops to slow moody ones over and over (tbh it was released during his drug era so I can understand) also fuck me albums are so long why can't they be like 4 songs long

Rubber Soul by Beatles

This encompasses what I like about the Beatles - funky, upbeat bops with excellent harmonies. However none of the songs are super notable.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Apr 07 2021

my only issue with the Smiths is that in the first few seconds of every song i go 'oh yeah I've heard this before' and then it turns out I haven't. I liked this album. Made me think about tom keight

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire

Now THIS is what I am talking about when we say great albums. Gets a bit preachy around 'All About Love' but very much fits with the crunchy granola theme of the album. A GREAT wedding album, really can see this being played at your Aunt Junes second wedding to a guy called Kevin who no-one really likes but he owns like three used car garages so can fund Junes vape addiction. During the wedding Kevin is caught in an interesting position with a bridesmaid and June spends the whole night next to the open bar. A strong Jazz end to the album leaves me with nightmares of Miles Davis.

I used to go do drugs to music like this in clubs so I am probably biased. One comment is don't put live versions of your songs in an album. if i wanted to listen to someone else sing your music I'd go to youtube. Negated my going outside anxiety and I didn't feel the blister forming on my heel as I walked so points. However I didn't save any of the music to listen to later so I can't rate above a three

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Apr 11 2021

The first song is the lyrical version of that guy who challenged Dr Seuss to make a book tht only used 50 words. This album feels.....easy. A money grab. Someone wanted to buy an expensive Rothko (because Rothkos are terrible) and needed to milk daddy Public for all his cashola. Its not bad I just can't get past the thought that it's the soundtrack of an Azerbaijianian Shrek parody. I had to stop listening as it was activating my fight or flight response and my therapist says thats counterproductive to my fatigue.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye

Lots of baby making music. Honestly all very similar though, and I like my albums with more spice
