This Is Fats Domino
Fats Domino
Enjoyed hearing some familiar melodies and definitely understand how this kind of artist built the foundation for pop music. Would like to explore this genre and style more- clearly a lot of vocal and instrumental talent is requires. That being said it is quite simple and paired back in today's standards so I probably will not revisit often.

John Barleycorn Must Die
Traffic
SO glad I found this album! A few really great tracks that will be in my regular rotation more often. I can definitely see where a look on interesting bands in the 70's took some inspiration but at the same time the combination of the keys, flute, and saxophone make this something completely unique from anything else.

Ritual De Lo Habitual
Jane's Addiction
Really great songs on here with a mix of a few that were a bit underwhelming/forgettable. The sound is a cool mix between grunge and the glossier 80’s sounding rock that was waning at the time. Really cool music videos as well- loved Been Caught Stealing and Stop!

The Sensual World
Kate Bush
A couple of super excellent tracks on this- the instrumentation is so beautiful and at times like nothing I have ever heard before. Her voice is soo unique as well and the approach to a lot of the songs is genius. Love this woman and her work :’)

Trans Europe Express
Kraftwerk
Really could not get through it. Understand why it was foundational for its time but unsure if it translates to anything interesting today. Did find out the melody from the title track was used in a Bollywood movie which was funny.

Really enjoyed around half of it! An interesting mix of genres and styles but they all definitely seem to work together.

Crime Of The Century
Supertramp
Really solid- definitely a fan of this genre in general so I will be re-listening to a few tracks more often. That being said towards the middle the songs felt a bit bloated/lengthy. Overall really great stuff!

Talking Heads 77
Talking Heads
Finally came across something in this list that I've listened to before lol! Such a classic, still completely unique to this day. I love love love Talking Heads so much, everything from the instrumentation to the lyrics is so interesting and fresh that you can't listen to any song just once!

Rid Of Me
PJ Harvey
A couple songs that really blew me away- love the energy and simplicity, as well as the way she plays with dynamics and tempo. Great artist overall-especially if you enjoy straightforward and cathartic rock music with an original+unique perspective.

Behaviour
Pet Shop Boys
Was very hard for me to take seriously as some parts sounded like they were created entirely on an electronic keyboard, though I do understand the intrinsic value of the Pet Shop Boys as corny electronic pop artists. Definitely some "guilty pleasure" type bangers in their discography but not a lot in this album for me.
