MetallicaAbsolutely legendary album. This is the album I give people when they say they "don't like metal". It's absolutely incredible no matter your musical tastes.

An entire album of famous hits I've heard before. Didn't realize these songs were all hers. The only one I knew for sure was "Son of a Preacher Man" and that's not even on this album.
Phenomenal musicality. Was expecting more ear worms. But definitely an album if you want something funky and crowd-pleasing that's upbeat but not overbearing.
Was not expecting a band I had never heard of on the list. The album was great though. Especially "What You Do To Me". How have I not heard that song before, it's great!!!
I guess I don't understand how these 1001 albums are chosen and the link to Wikipedia doesn't help either as far as context is concerned. I was surprised to hear "Mbube" though - I had no idea that "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was based off an South African classic.
Absolutely fantastic album. Same thing - heard of Temptations but never went through the album. Even the unknown songs are great. And both ends - pure happy funky, to very relaxed and chill R&B motown. Great great great.
Pretty good. Not my cup of tea, but glad I'm familiar with the album now.
First album I am familiar with. Enjoyed it when it came out and still a big fan. Though is another album that the critics love and I appreciate but not an all-time favorite I have on constant spin.
Dear Mama is still the #1 classic Tupac song.
I love people like Lenny who sing with such passion. It really gets you into the album and music and lyrics and theme. Phenomenal record.
Lots of songs that eventually became samples in famous rap songs :)
Amazing album!
Had never heard this album all the way through. Then hearing all the classics as well as the amazing songs in between, this is absolutely a top classic of all time that everyone should hear.

Still a classic
Pretty great album, that kicked off an era.
Definitely a place in history for this record.
Musically, is an amazing album. Hearing crazy, gritty guitars and vocals, followed by doo wop is a wild journey. Love it.
