It's hard to weigh up nostalgia with this one. Even back in the day I didn't love it, but it was just such a big album in the years I first started listening to music.
Fast becoming a favourite album of mine. I like the place it takes me to.
Haunting and mystical. The music video for Blackstar is also definitely worth checking out.
Sadly don't have too much of an ear for such music. I'd love to give this a 4, but that'd feel a bit dishonest. Did enjoy it though.
Listening to this now is way more fun than it was all those years ago. Not sure if this is because I've listened to so much dreck between now and then that I appreciate it more, or (more likely) I'm just enjoying the comfort of familiarity.
