The Jesus And Mary ChainWow. It’s like a cross between the velvet underground and nirvana. Pretty unique. Their sound isn’t pleasant per se, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I haven’t really heard anything like this.

3/5 Album. Pretty charismatic vocalist. Songs with an organ part or an active baseline are fun to listen to. Eclectic sonic quality
I can respect their talent as songwriters. Not my style though.
Awesome album. Love the blues inspired guitar and the themes within the songs. An album steeped in ideas and creativity.
I love the Americana aesthetic, the lyrical themes of aspirations and disappointments, and the euphoric blend of piano, guitar, organ, saxophone, harmonica, etc.

Classic punk. I love the aesthetic. It’s pretty iconic. Their sound is influential, but homogenous. Not super creative in the songwriting department.
Interesting sound. Their ephemeral coloring is pretty recognizable, and it’s not unpleasant to listen to. Personally, I don’t find it very pleasant either.
Sounds like stripped down country with a small infusion of Beatles. Not my favorite. Lacks many of the sonic qualities I appreciate in more contemporary country.
Sounds like someone took a Lou Reed or David Bowie figure and gave him an electro ethos with a hip hop kinda energy. Not something I’m inclined to love.
