Sigur RósThis album is just too slow for my liking. Not really a fan.
This album is just too slow for my liking. Not really a fan.
Beautiful production, nice lyrical content in most songs, but definitely some glaring weak spots. Overall would say it’s DEFINITELY overrated; I don’t think this is his Magnum Opus. Very long winded and drawn out, probably could’ve been 10-15 minutes shorter. Features were spotty; Nicki on Monster was a highlight, as were the features on Gorgeous and John Legend on Blame Game. Jay Z and Fergie were not great. 7/10.
Probably ahead of it’s time. Kind of boring and repetitive, but pretty interesting. Lacking vocal content. 5/10.
Fun and light, cool instrumentals and reallyncool guitar work. Just a little too poppy for my taste. 7/10.
What a disappointing album. Expected a lot more with all the hype the Stones get, but I can’t help but think of the other rock giants at the time and how many miles ahead they were. 3/10.
Kind of boring and repetitive. Had some cool musical moments and profound lyrics, just not for me. 4/10.
Some interesting instrumental moments and good lyrical content make for a mixed bag of enjoyable and skippable tracks. Can definitely see how this album helped pioneer RnB as we know it, not my cuppa tea. 6/10.
Very boring and disappointing. Apple Music compared them to the Smiths, but they’re way too poppy for that comparison to be true. 3/10
Exciting instrumentals. Lack of vocals and lyrical content are fully compensated for in the simple yet full music. 7/10.
Really enjoyed this album. The vocals are incredible and the uniqueness of her voice really shines over the cool instrumentals. 7.5/10
Boring. Sounds like the guy from Neutral Milk Hotel. 4/10.
This album was simply not for me. 2/10.
Pleasant but not quite stimulating. 5/10.
Another background album. Painfully mid. 4/10.
Definitely worth a revisit. Interesting, engaging, meaningful. 6/10.
Highlights the beauties of jazz; def an album you have to be in the mood for. 7/10.
This album does a lot of cool things, just not really my cup of tea. Nice vocals, cool layering, jazz inspired instrumentals. 6/10.
Really fun and engaging album. Very simple instrumentals, not a ton of creativity musically but vocally and lyrically definitely unique. 7/10.
Nice instrumentals and vocals (however rare) but the song length was a bit too much imo. Great for background sound. 5/10.
Very pleasant. Songs are the perfect length, lots of interesting musical themes and patterns. Solid 7/10.
Strong start; I liked this album less as it progressed. Musicality was sacrificed for distortion. 6/10.
Dad rock vibes, but not NEARLY as basic as other dad rock. Pleasant and interesting, just wish it was longer. 6/10.
The first half is ok, the bass lines are probably the most interesting component. The shift at the halfway point is enjoyable, but this album falls short of being anything more than mediocre. 5/10.
Pretty much exactly what you can expect from a 50s rock album. Songs all about love, pretty simple musically but still pleasant. Nothing exceptional though. 5/10.
I have nothing good to say about this project. Everything was insufferably cheesy and uninspired. 1/10.
Not a huge fan of this album. Started to feel a bit repetitive and boring less than halfway through. 4/10.
Very boring and forgettable. 3/10.
Nothing special, nothing terrible. I’d consider this typical of Steely Dan. Rare moments of interesting instrumentation surrounded by atrociously mid tracks and moments. 5/10.
This album is very boring. Nothing exciting or fun imo, besides the incredibly recognizable tracks. Had huge expectations that this album completely failed to meet. 5/10 is generous.
Bored to death by this album. Probably need to relisten at a later date. ?/10
Mildly enjoyable. Nothing I really liked or really hated. The vocals are both pleasant and unpleasant at the same time; it’s kind of intriguing. 6/10.
This album had interesting points but it felt kind of drawn out. Couldn’t finish. 3/10.
Super enjoyable instrumentals. Reminds me of Daft Punk and Donuts a bit; perfect for a long drive or study sesh. 8/10.
This album is just too slow for my liking. Not really a fan.
This album is mostly forgettable, besides a few standout tracks. Overall mid, 5/10.
This album is really interesting, with neat instrumentals that are sort of reminiscent of the Grateful Dead but if those guys did way more coke. 6/10.
Basic instrumentals paired with low effort vocals make this album incredibly boring. The heavily distorted guitars are the only good thing about this album, and they’re not even present on every track. 2/10.
Much of this album just feels monotonous. It’s very boring, simply put. 3/10.
This album is pretty average. It’s fairly enjoyable and interesting, but Paul was much better with the Beatles. 6/10.
Enjoyable and interesting ting, with a few odd tracks here and there. 6/10.
Mid. 5/10.
This album is unbearable.
