Sonic YouthI was surprised how "modern" this one sounded, probably an indication of what a big influence the band is on a lot of more recent alternative rock.

I love the classic 60s pop vibes mixed with blues on a lot of these songs, sounds like Led Zeppelin must have listened to this album a lot, definitely hear things on here that they would do later on.
Kind of sounds like the songs I find most boring off of records from the era from Beach Boys, Kinks, Beatles, etc.
Kicks off with a fantastic beat, which the Artist Formerly Known As There French Prince wisely sampled for Gettin'Jiggy Wit It. Only gets better from there.
A lot of fun, the words give "Maggot Brain" give me the willies but doesn't great art need to shake you from your comfort zone?
One of the first albums here I was already quite familiar with - loved this album when it was new and I still really enjoy it.
ABBA seems only capable of doing one type of sound but that sound is wonderful.
Really enjoyed this one, I'm a sucker for this genre and this era so I knew pretty quickly I was doing to like it.
None of this was familiar to me, but I thought it had a lot of the same fun and energy I know from Queen's biggest songs.
Incredible collection of songs, love this transition period between "old school" Beatles and what they would become from Sgt. Pepper on. Also, includes perhaps the best Ringo song in Yellow Submarine.

This one was totally new to me - the band and the album - but I enjoyed their sound.
Remember when Chris and Mark became friends over their experience of...um... experiencing this band live?
This is Kiss at or near their peak for me, I'll listen to this album anytime.
Great post punk/new wave sound that I was totally unaware of.
What a great collection of songs, didn't realize how many of the "definitive" versions of these songs in my mind came from this performance.
