This rocked. "Waterfalls" and "Creep" were the standouts. I wonder if The Lonely Island's "Do the Creep" was influenced by this and I just never knew it.
Someday Soon Sweet Samba and the title track were standouts.
I wasn't a huge fan of this. I guess I'm not artsy enough for Avante Garde.
I wasn't a huge fan of the 80s bass on this. Hard to articulate what it is, but there was this clean bass sound that was super common in the 80s that I'm not wild about. I did like Hungry Like the Wolf because I'm not a complete monster.
I'm pleased that "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" helped me recognize some music on this album that I would have had no touchstone for. Big Iron was a certified banger.
One of my very favorite albums ever.
I'd never heard of Cream. I liked the genre blending between Psychedelia and Blues.
To my shame I don't think I've ever tried to listen to the Stones. "The Music Never Stopped" is one of my favorite movies, but I never actually put effort into seeing what it's all about. It's way closer to blues than modern rock than I thought it would be.
