I like some jazz and I like some jazz less. This is the type where 3 or 4 musicians appear to get together and do their own thing without any interest or care what the others are doing. Personally I'd rather listen to an orchestra tuning up.
Just not my thing - dreary, over-long, pointless.
Perfect music for the background when you are having a few tinnies with your mates.
Not as awful as feared - but fairly standard US rock.
Very different to most stuff you hear. Melodic strumming and easy to hear Cocteau Twins influence in sound and vocal. Real surprise.
Never really listened to The Who but loved parts of this.
A classic album that stands the test of time. Melodic harmonies and soaring vocals. Like time travel back to the 80s
At school we broadly split into a Queen/ELO axis and a more Indie group. 40 years on and my view remains the same! I can understand why people like Queen and I can really admire what they have done, but I don't have to like it...... and I don't!
Your mother wouldn't like it - and she'd be spot on!

Melodic and interesting. Probably benefits from a few listens.
I'd forgotten how good The Jam were. Powerful bass-driven rhythms and decent lyrics. Quite a variety of tempo and style on this album.
Pleasant enough, but not the most inspiring music I've ever heard from Bowie's pen.
I really didn't like this - even the 'hits' felt dated.
Wasn't sure if I'd like this, but was pleasantly surprised. Can't say I need to listen to it again, but as a kind of gentle background noise somewhere, it might be more interesting then some other candidates.
