1001 Albums Summary

Nostalgic, one of my intros to punk rock—the catalyst being they allowed me to discover albums and bands I think are so much better, so the Ramones don’t cross my mind as much anymore! Fun to revisit for the first time since I was a teenager.

Maybe more deserving of 4 stars, but I'm biased—this is my favorite album by one of my all time favorite bands, the energy and pacing of it is intoxicating and unlike any other album, INCLUDING any other Stones album! Sometimes tax evasion makes your album sound better, it's scientifically proven

flawless production, awesome flow and the doors sample in “the takeover” blew my mind. a great album and definitely a reflection of the time of its release, awesome suggestion of an album i probably wouldnt listen to on my own as i was never a huge jay z fan!

What can I say about this album that hasn’t been written before. Perfect, just perfect. Also inspired me to watch the Johnny Cash episode of Columbo

Haven’t listened to a Gabriel led Genesis album in forever, and this reminded me why I love them. Perhaps has one of the most underrated opening tracks to an album ever!!

It was inevitable, there had to be a time when an album I didn’t like came along. I appreciate the listen though and the massive mix of influences, I have just heard so much better world music inspired albums in my time!

honestly surprisingly tight album with tons of amazing tracks and energy, not much to say besides i’m definitely going to revisit it again!
