1001 Albums Summary

Couldn't even get through the whole album - gave it a good try, though. Made it about halfway through until I couldn't take it anymore. Ultimately, the vapid, overproduced sound didn't draw me. The whole album very much reminded me of bad filler music used in early 2000s rom-coms.

Pretty much a perfect album. Easy listening with some beautiful lyrics that likely go overlooked. Lots of favorites on here: Judy Blue Eyes, Guinnevere, Pre-Road Downs, Marrakesh Express, Helplessly Hoping, 49 Bye-Byes.

Sarah Vaughan has a gorgeous voice and a great sense of humor! Even when she forgot the lyrics to a song, she made it work and elicited laughter from her audience. What a captivating musician. This live album captures her in sound. Excellent listening.

Pretty decent. Some great tunes like Chocolate Cake, It's Only Natural, Whispers and Moans, Fame Is, All I Ask, As Sure As I Am, She Goes On. The other half of the album features mediocre songs and forgettable vocals.

God awful. Sounds like a junior high talent show gone wrong (do any of them ever go right??).

A standardly good album overall - some great tracks and some duds. Wouldn't pick to be my first listen but wouldn't complain if it were on.

The instrumentals are vastly superior to the vocals, but overall this was an unimpressive album. Kinda gave up on it.

Eugh. The voice of a nasally pedophile. Also I'm pretty sure he ripped the bassline on "Party Girl" from The Beatles' "You Never Give Me Your Money."

Nothing against Cheap Trick, but 38 live tracks is a lot of Cheap Trick.

Lovely Bowie - not the best Bowie album, but not bad by any means.
