Run-D.M.C.
Run-D.M.C.Respect to the pioneers. That said, it sounds a bit repetitive to 2022 ears. It’s definitely a classic and you can hear how the influence permeates the genre. Plus, the drum machines are fantastic.

I absolutely loved this album, and I had never heard it before. The arrangement was so clever, the lyrics were so wonderful and touching and thought provoking. I will definitely add this to my rotation.
Really good soul and funk vibes! I’d heard a few of the songs off this album before, but really enjoyed this listen!
Such a great album. Very familiar with it already, but always an enjoyable listen. Of all Nirvana’s albums, this is the one I return to most frequently.
I mean, it’s fine. It’s just not my thing. I get that it’s technically accomplished and it’s an interesting fusion of genres and influences. I just wouldn’t want to listen to it more than once.
What an outstanding album. I’d never listened to it the whole way though and it’s beautiful, uplifting, wonderful.
Bitterness never sounded so sweet! It’s not my favorite Marvin Gaye album, but it’s still a Marvin Gaye album, and you can never go wrong with that.
Eeeew. Dross! How did this even make the list?! Just no.
This album is a masterpiece.

There is nothing not to like about this collection. Ella Fitzgerald is always on point.
I am glad that this album showed up. I’m a Bowie fan, but less familiar with his output after the 70s/80s. This album was beautiful and haunting and a fitting final work.
I want to like this album. But it’s too much chaos for my ears and brain. For Coltrane, I’ll take the Coltrane/Ellington In A Sentimental Mood album over this every time.
Hmmm. I enjoyed this more than expected, but apparently less than most folks. Still, really enjoyed the more chill, atmospheric bits. Then, other pieces of the sampling just sounded like a mishmash of whatever.
This is such a great album. I still listen to it cover to cover a couple of times a year.
It's a rocker! Here's the thing - I love rock and roll, but I don't really vibe with the blues. Even still, this album cannot be denied.
I’d never listened to Ryan Adams before, but I totally loved this album. Apparently Ryan Adams is a reprehensible human, but sometimes (often, actually), shitty people make great music. This is the first album thats come up that I hadn’t heard before that I’m sold on.
Nah.
The tracks that are bangers make this album worthwhile, but overall it’s pretty lackluster and sounds a bit dated. Keep On Movin’, Back To Life, and Jazzie’s Groove are decent though!
