Sounds like what I'm listening to when I come home from the skate park and need a glass of water.
Feel like I was listening to an album with songs from my childhood/preteen years. This dad rock sound is a meme 25 years later and I can't not be annoyed by Chris Connell's vocals. Sometimes I wish he would stop singing and let me hear the music in the bg.
Killer piano Definitely would have lost my mind at this concert listening to him play. Very well recorded album that I can easily put myself in the room where lewis is playing. 3/5 bc no one would have cared about this album if it wasn't on this list published in 2005. There's music from this time period that remains relevant and aged better. Top review is "4/5 not bad for a pedo" should tell you everything you need to know.
Coffee shop vibe Night by night is a bop Love/hate the cover art
Why is this making me think of the TV show Scrubs? Being retired and dancing on a cruise ship in the bahamas. Yt ppl music I don't want to rate this high bc I don't want anyone to get the impression I like this kind of music but for what it is this album is solid
A sound like the feeling of eating a good meal while sitting in a Cafe off the Mediterranean. A chill creeping down my spine with an urgency to absorb the beauty of the moment before it passes. I'm not mad at people thinking I like jazz lol
Love that Freznor chose to work with Russell Mills for the cover art. Art that come about in the mid century and inspired the grungy aesthetic of 90's music. First album I've played twice. The album I had previously was Frank Sinatra's wee small hours so it's jarring to go from wee small hours to the downward spiral. It's like I'm going backwards on the 5 stages of grief. I started at acceptance and sadness with Frank Sinatra and now NIN has moved me to anger, bargaining, denial, and blissful ignorance.
Short and sweet. Fun to sing along to I'm sure. Think for yourself is a bop. Kind of mid
What the fuck is up pac sun? Let it flow is a baby maker
Wish there were more female artists on this list. Solange is such a stunning singer. Tina's interlude! Preach! Beautiful vibe
Classic album I grew up with. The sound of going to the mall with your friends to piss off the shop workers.
Very disappointed to find out this isn't a punk album by a bunch of chicks singing about being cottage core lesbians frolicking in the woods during a summer of love. Instead it's one of those records with a cover designed to sell to men. The feeling of the album is soulful and electric. If it takes all night is cheesy garbage. There's something deeply condescending about the lyrics in a few songs that distracts from the quality of the sound.
Very 60's, what else can I say?

Folky and joyous.

Complex with a good bop. What I hear when I'm still dancing at 3am
I hate to admit how much fun I thought this album was. I would have really enjoyed dancing to these songs live.
Simple and easy beauty, like enjoying a sunrise before the day begins. Better Times is my favorite track
