Enjoyed the opener a lot, lots of future influence within the Talking Heads and this album is not an exception. The vocal inflections of the lead singer remind me a lot of Keith Strickland from the B-52s, the iconic exaggerated inflections really give the Talking Heads a unique sound. Overall, I enjoyed this record quite a bit, but it isn't the greatest thing I've ever heard. Not bad at all for the first record on the docket, I'd give it a solid 7/10
Epic opener, majestic. Very 80s sounding, but I do know that Prince pioneered that very sound, fits well with the decade. Purple Rain may be the greatest song of the 1980s in my opinion. The rest are a little more forgettable aside from When Doves Cry. I'd give the album another 6.5-7/10.
Opener was really good, can't understand the language, but the music speaks mine. Love the emotion shown by the lead singer and the emotion if the instruments in the first track. These emotions continue throughout the rest of the album, absolute joy to the ears that it has even an American sounding sound in general. Based off of that alone, I would give this album a 7.5-8.
Love the vibe, change of pace. Very instrumental heavy with the vocals taking a backseat at certain times. The lead singer has a very iconic voice on the song Take Me Out, the smash hit that put this group on the map, a song I've been listening to for a while now. Other highlights include: The Dark of the Matinee, This Fire, Michael, and Come On Home, as well as the title track Jacqueline. Overall 8-8.5/10 In my opinion
This jazzy album has me bopping my head, however, compared to other jazz works, I'm sure this is exceptional, because I do like it. The problem is, Jazz isn't my top cup of tea, I'd probably give this album a 4/10 due to my enjoyment just not being there.
Decent disco tracks and messages throughout, just not really for me, enjoyed a few songs greatly though.
Very solid live album, every song sounded good live, the orchestra was phenomenal and James Brown's vocals were perfect. Solid 7.5/10 album for me.

Some nice slow rock ballads on here, along with some psychedelic elements and even some folk. Enjoyed, but not the best, I'd give it a 5-6/10
From the start, you can tell how important this album was and still is for rap. Dr. Dre is certainly well know for being one of the greatest producers of all time, but this album proves he has the chops to make a hard hitting solo record from a rap perspective. His arrangement and feature choices are also top notch and the whole album listen now is one that you can feel forlorn for a grittier, more real time in rap, I'd give this album a 9/10.
Solid album, smooth listen, a little different eccentric rock album. 6/10
Classic country hits from the best to ever do it in my opinion. The charm in this record is seen throughout the track list as Cash addresses the crowd and even takes a jab at his own record label. The charm is evident through the music as well. The whole album sort of feels like a movie at times, that's the appeal in my opinion, very unique experience that you can't get anywhere else. 8/10
Somber tone to the whole album which makes sense given the context. The music itself is very solid, the vocals are strained at times and really fit the vibe of the album. 7/10.
The sound appeals to me the most, the lead singer sounds very emotional in his deliveries. The music is also very grandiose in tune. Overall this album delivers a solid punch and is one that I certainly enjoy very much. Enough to give it a 7.5/10.
It was aight
It was kinda mid
Very well done Jazz Record, but Jazz isn’t my top pick for music, I do enjoy it, so I’d give it a 7/10 solidly
I’d say it’s a mid tier to decent emo rock sound tbh. I do like it, I’d probably give it a solid 6/10
