Moondance
Van MorrisonOh my goodness! I've owned this LP for YEARS. It's not my favorite Van record, but it's close.

An incredible turning point in the long and storied career of Fleetwood Mac. Just like Bob Welch had done years before, Lindsey Buckingham took over and made the band in his own image, if just for a while.
Never heard this one before. I'll definitely have to listen to it when I have time to LISTEN. So far it's very much up my alley -- I am a huge fan of psychedelia.
This is a classic. Not Sabbath at their best as far as I'm concerned (I like later and RJD-era better), but they had to start somewhere. And this is probably the beginning of what we know as metal. It has remarkable legs and resilience.
Great album. I love the poetry.
Thia ia one of her best. I love Kate Bush.
With the distinctive voice from Steely Dan, you'd think this would be just another Steely Dan album. It's definitely not. There's some sharp commentary in here, along with some very tasty grooves. I love this album. How are things on Mount Belzoni, by the way?
This isn't my favorite Smiths album, but I love it anyway. This band is my guilty pleasure away from my heavy metal headbanging.
If there was a person who had never heard the Who, this would be the best starter album for that person. Everything on this is a classic.
One of the best LPs of its time. There's not a bad track on this.
Prince was a genius. An erratic one, sometimes. But a genius. This album is up and down, showing some depth and breadth and never quite scaling all the heights. I like it, though I'll always like Diamonds and Pearls more than any other.
This album is THE BEST. It's the perfect mainstreaming of Janis and her music to the pop world.
