Unknown Pleasures
Joy DivisionI can appreciate what joy division did musically for the industry. Simple repetitive single note guitar lines, writing melody over drone notes etc. but not what I’d choose to listen to.

Pretty chaotic punk music but influential. Feels like a necessary album for Brit punk but not one that I’d listen to again.
A functional copy of punk stereotypes toned down to meet a broader audience. Not really my cup of tea
Best album so far. An incredible example of ray Charles unique blend of r&b, soul, and the big band pop/swing of the day. Even without carrying some of his biggest hits this album is great!
Pretty stereotypical acoustic based jam band. Songs too long, and don’t feel like it added much to the genre. Though probably was a bit new for it’s time.
Good for electronic music, not usually my taste. Also I don't think it's the best album by this artist.
Fantastic album by Q-Tip. I loved the melodies in the hooks, the laid back feel, and his flow is just so unique to him.
Listening on headphones made me appreciate this album even more. The acoustic instruments are panned in really specific ways that allow the listener to experience each instrument individually. Though I don't love Joni Mitchell's voice I can appreciate it for it's uniqueness.
Love Kacey, the simple storytelling songwriting, her vocals are awesome, and her wordplay is super fun to listen to. I have this album on vinyl and listen to it frequently.
Didn’t love the sampling. And felt like other people do this genre better. Was confused why this one made the list
This was a good Christmas album. Could use a remaster to get the quality up for me.
Best album so far!
Wasn't my favorite. Good songwriting but something about the vocals just wasn't for me
Alright. Good singles but some weird stuff that doesn’t make me love it.
Obviously heard the single before but hadn’t listened to anything else by this band. They are good but not necessarily my cup of tea
