Gasoline Alley
Rod StewartSome country, some rockabilly and some songs that I'd be shocked if they weren't written by Yusuf / Cat Stevens. Rod Stewart is one of the best at covering songs and making them sound and feel like his.

Some obvious synth classics but the balance of the album is more reserved use in comparison to other artists of the era. Songs like I believe stand out as different for it's tempo, but even the up beat tracks are lyrically bleak
Jingle jangle pingle bango. Atmospheric and cool to listen to in stereo but not for me
My first listen. The style of delivery is so out of fashion now that it is almost funny at points. The samples are cool. Avalanches esque
Interesting album to rate. Obviously they are covers, but there is artistry in their selection and arrangement. Surprisingly enjoyed it all. It was baroque and a bit goofy at times. But the record is good and the songs stitch together to tell a story.
No stress I'm a boss in a fucking dress. Simz has found space to rap about her lived experiences and the prejudices she has faced in summiting the music industry. Innovative samples, traditional Chinese to Rasta to grime
Familiar with the often sampled rifts but never listened to the original. Obviously good and influential, not sure I would listen to it on the day to day though
There is a type of rock that sounds like it could have been from any time between 72 and 2008. This is that.

My first listen, which really surprised. It has a Beatles feel (George Martin that you?) with the strings and horns in songs like village ghetto land, but then effortlessly falls back into more predictable (as a casual Stevie listener) funk and soul tracks.
Chefz kiffs
Herm yarl magnificence
Britpop bangers
One of the most influential albums ever. Nothing I could add that hasn't been said.
