Wow. Man was I wrong about James Taylor. This album is so good. I love the variety of genres he dapples in. The beautiful fingerpicking guitar throughout on the slower songs. It was perfect.
Beautiful album. I was familiar with a couple of the singles, but hadn't given the whole album a listen. It's thoughtful, sad, but also is just a warm record through and through.
These dudes can really harmonize. I actually own Cloud Nine on vinyl and I'm really loving this album from them.
Never heard of Gram Parsons prior to getting this album from the 1001 albums generator. I have listened to a little bit of The Byrds, but mostly their hits. This was a surprise to get, and I'm so happy I got to experience it. The 2nd side is better than the first, but this is good stuff. I love the harmonizing with Emmy-Lou, just angelic. He definitely crosses between country and rock and I understand why people say that he was the originator of that. It's a beautiful 38 minutes, and I'd gladly listen to it again.
Wow. I've never listened to a full album of Bob Dylan. This was a beautiful piece of art and poetry. And he was 21 when he recorded it. Incredible listen.
Great album from start to finish. Felt like the quickest 36 mins of my life.
Really good album. A little longer than I would have wanted, but the production is solid. His lyrics are legendary. Overall a good listen.
