Wasn't able to listen, not available.
Liking the instrumentals but not the singing parts.
Meh.
I had this on in the background while I was doing something else and I really wish that I had been able to listen to it more carefully because what I could hear sounded really great. I especially liked the Celtic/ medieval feel and the singer's voice.
This album reminds me of my grandfather. He used to listen to it and Fats Domino in general a lot. He wasn't always a nice man but I knew he loved me and that's what mattered.
I was surprised I hadn't heard of this band or album since it should have been in my wheelhouse. Then again, discoverability wasn't stellar before the internet. I can hear a lot of other bands' inspirations in this, both forward and backward in time, giving this album a bit of a timeless and nostalgic feel for me, though I'm not sure what it does for others.
