Old school hip hop, driven by lyrics and wordplay. Clean, simplistic instrumental elements. Self aware and funny at times. Definitely can feel it’s influence elsewhere. Have to be in the right mood for it, sit and nod music.

Great album. Wonderful acoustic guitar melodies, low and calming vocals, each track distinct while still maintaining and overall style for the album.

Great Afro-pop. Had no idea he was Fela's son, totally thought I was being reductive by thinking they sounded very similar. I swear Gorillaz sampled the riff from Survival in one of the Demon Days songs (maybe La Manana?)
