It's Blitz!
Yeah Yeah YeahsFilled with synth-pop indie rock tracks. Lead singer’s voice is good.

A freaking masterpiece! Elliot’s voice holds so much emotion. 10/10 perfect alt-rock somber, melancholic melodies. Favorite Songs: Somebody That I Used to Know, Junk Bond Trader, In the Lost & Found, Easy Way Out, Stupidity Tries, and Colorbars.
“Turn to Stone” is a good song to open the album with. An interesting mix of various genres (prog-rock, classical, and occasional disco). However, wasn’t really feeling the overall symphonic vibes. Favorite Songs: Turn to Stone, It’s Over, Night in the City, and Starlight.
As a whole, the album is okay. A couple of standout songs, but nothing really special. Favorite Songs: Politik, God Put A Smile upon Your Face, Clocks, Warning Sign, and Amsterdam
Usually don’t listen to this genre of music, but I enjoy the chill, soulful vibes of Gaye’s voice. More of a fan of the songs with slower arrangements. The bass playing slaps so hard.
This is the type of music that I love! The perfect mix of indie, folk, and chamber pop. Pretty solid debut album. Also, the artwork is awesome; it perfectly captures what you’re bound to hear on the record. I’ll definitely be going to this in the future. Favorite Songs: Sun It Rises, Ragged Wood, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, Quiet Houses, and Heard Them String.
I enjoyed most of the songs on this one more than I initially thought. The beats slap so hard and the samples are great. Favorite Songs: Hey, After School Special, React, and Thin Line.
This album is post-punk af. The low sound of the bass is amazing, and omg, those drums! Lydon’s vocals are great. Definitely going back to this album in the future. Favorite songs: Theme, Religion II, Public Image, Low Life, and Attack.
A predominantly jazz-rock album with elements of folk. I like the experimentation with synthesizer effects on some songs. Mitchell’s voice is soft and relaxed. The piano break during the middle of “Harry’s House” is fire! Favorite songs: In France They Kiss on Main Street, The Jungle Line, Don’t Interrupt the Sorrow, Harry’s House, and Shadows and Light.
Lead singer Mick Hucknall’s voice is so damn soulful! HBtY is a freaking masterpiece. The album altogether has very 80s new-wave arrangements, but I enjoyed it. Favorite songs: Heaven, Holding Back the Years, and Red Box.
There are a couple of good songs like “E-Pro” and “Girl”, but nothing really moved me. Interesting mix of hip/hop, electronic, rock, and small elements of country. Favorite songs: E-Pro, Girl, Earthquake Weather, Scarecrow, Rental Car, and Emergency Exit.
This music makes me feel like I’m floating. I get 80s no-wave, experimental rock vibes. The drone effects tend to become boring after a while. Guitar is really fuzzy-sounding (listen to Revolution), which is very reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine. Favorite songs: Honey, Come Down Softly to My Soul, and I Believe It.
Classic 80s hardcore punk at its core. Brings me back to when I first discovered MT, but I somehow missed this album. Guitar work is great, vocals are raw and high-energy. Favorite songs: Betray, Think Again, Little Friend, and Cashing In.
A solid blues-rock album from an iconic three-piece band. The rhythm section is very tight and in the pocket. Great guitar solos and vocals. Favorite songs: Jesus Left Chicago, Beer Drinkers, Hot, Blue and Righteous, Precious and Grace, and La Grange.
Loved the folk-y vibes of this album. The lyrics, Cohen’s voice, and the minimal instrumentation with just an acoustic guitar created a nice, mellow vibe. Favorite songs: Suzanne, Winter Lady, So Long, Marianne, and Stories of the Street.
I’ve never heard of Belle & Sebastian before, so this is my first time listening. This is a decent indie pop/rock record, very reminiscent of Nick Drake on some songs. At times, the melodies are catchy. Favorite songs: Seeing Other People, Mayfly, Judy and the Dream Horses.
I honestly don’t get the hype around this album. The funk tones of the bass is good, Anthony Keidis’ voice is okay, but nothing really stood out to me. Despite saying that, the rhythm section was fire. Favorite songs: Scar Tissue, Californication, Porcelain, and Savior.
Enjoyed listening to this. Love the falsetto vocals, driving guitar riffs, and the drum fills. A short, but sweet album. Favorite songs: Never Before, Smoke on the Water, and Space Truckin’.
Love that her London accent comes out. Never heard of her before, but I’m impressed. A good UK hip-hop album. Favorite songs: Boss, Selfish, Venom, and 101 FM.
This album was much more enjoyable than I initially thought. I love the mixing of Western and Indian music styles. The sitar sounds amazing backed by bass, drums, and background vocals. Favorite songs: Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Light My Fire, Mamata (Affection), and Metamorphosis.
One of the best live albums I’ve ever heard. Philly Lynott’s bass lines and vocals are stellar, the guitar solos are killer, and drums are tight and in the pocket. Standouts: Jailbreak, Emerald, Rosalie / Cowgirl’s Song, Cowboy Song, Suicide, Baby Drives Me Crazy, and The Rocker.
First time listening to this album in full. It’s a great mod revival album with a mix of punk and pub rock. Standouts: English Rose, In the Crowd, Fly, and Down in the Tube Station at Midnight.
Never have been a “Swiftie”, and although this album has some skippers, I enjoyed some of the songs. I admit this sounds like a generic indie-folk record. Standouts: champagne problems, gold rush, tolerate it, closure, and evermore.
A fun new wave, dance-rock album with a ton of driving rhythms and arrangements. Tina Weymouth’s bass lines sounds are killer! The whole album sounds tight. Standouts: Thank You for Sending Me an Angel, The Good Thing, Warning Sign, The Girls Want to Be with the Girls, Found a Job, Take Me to the River, and The Big Country.
