1001 Albums Summary

One of my favorite albums ever and a strong source of nostalgia for a particular time in my life and place in the world when this album dropped.

This is one of those albums that sounds normal years later because everyone tried to sound like it after it came out. At the time it was revelatory.

This just sounds like the best party to be at

On this listen in late 2024 I found myself distracted by all the reverb. There is a clear vision at work here, and an enjoyable disorientation with sonic references across decades. I prefer Alex Turner's more direct output. These are solid tunes submerged underwater.

This one didn't grab me.
