Quick Review: Overall not awful but the writing, tone and instrumentation is repetitive. Couple of bangers and 'Come On Home' slightly saves the monotonous second half.

Overall 69/100 ★★★★
Quick Review: Lots of variation of style that keeps it interesting. Some songs were a bit boring which is to be expected of a double album, but only at side four did I think the actual album dragged a bit. Kashmir is the obvious banger but there were a couple of other LZ songs I'd not heard before and loved.

Quick Review: Never listened to a Dolly Parton album before but this was really lyrically and musically sweet. Some of the songs are a bit samey but as a record of 10 songs, all of which are less than 4 minutes and most less than 3, it never becomes boring to listen to.

Quick Review: Disappointed with this album. Loved Siamese Dream growing up but never gave this album a chance up until now. Unfortunately this album majorly suffers from the double album curse of the quality being spread too thinly. Far too much filler and is only saved by the singles.

Quick Review: I just don't get this. Listening to the album was like being the only person in the room who isn't stoned. Only highlight was the second half of Animals.

Quick Review: Solid album with some fun songs - even the long songs get progressively better with the exception of the boring Automatic.
Nothing is left to the imagination and I kinda like it.

Quick Review: Bookended by two of the best rock songs ever written, the quality of the songs in between isn't consistent enough to justify some of the praise this album gets. Maybe it just hasn't aged that well?

Quick Review: No two songs sound the same but the quality is consistent throughout. Living for the City has always been a great song but is even more so in context of the album. Side Two of the record is on of the best that I've reviewed so far.

Quick Review: So close to being 5 stars. Each new song I listen to I think 'this will be the one that is filler' and then it builds into something interesting. Excellent vocals and guitars. The only thing holding the album back is that I don't think I'd include any individual song to put onto my playlists.

Quick Review: Not my cup of tea - I enjoy some Elton John songs but they are much catchier than this selection. Usual issue with a double album too - too much filler.

Quick Review: Starts a bit 'meh' but the quality soon picks up. Sex Machine is too long, but it doesn't actually feel like 13 minutes. Everyday People is the highlight

Quick Review: My first 5 star review, and I cannot believe it's the Scissor Sisters but I'm fine with it. The singles are bangers, the album tracks are all solid songs that I found myself dancing along to. Just as I thought the album was petering out slightly, the final two tracks change the tone entirely. Overall a fantastic album!

Quick Review: This is brilliantly crafted album. It feels heavily influenced by Radiohead in the way the atmosphere is created in each song. Each song flows almost seamlessly into the next, but never gets boring. I thought that Elbow were supposed to be a bit naff, but I couldn't have been proven more wrong.

Quick Review: So I was very familiar with this album before reviewing and I was ready beforehand to give this four stars because I am not a fan of the medley. Gave it a courtesy listen and it's a bit better than I remember (who cares if sun king is a bit boring for the sake of two minutes?). Golden Slumbers into Carry that Weight seems to have been lost on me in the past.
First Side of the album + Here comes the Sun might be the best sequence of songs ever written.
