It was really fun to get to listen to this album in full again. The last time I listened to this album in full was probably in 2012. I really enjoyed Adele's rendition of Lovesong. When I initially heard this album I did not realize Lovesong was a cover, now as an adult (especially an adult who was proposed to with this song) I greatly appreciate how soulful her voice is in that cover.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Jul 26 2023

I've never listened to this album in full, but Winter Hymnal was everywhere for a while so I've heard that before. All-in-all, I liked this album, it just seems like stereotypical indie music, but that's because it's an album that inspired others to create music that's in a similar vein.

Doolittle by Pixies
Jul 27 2023

I love Doolittle. This is the second or third time I've listened to this album this week. This is a close to perfect album.

War by U2
Jul 28 2023

I think I'm missing whatever gene it is that makes you love U2. I liked four songs from this album and this is their seminal album. I liked all the references to Yeats.

Aug 10 2023

I learned that this isn't the band for me. I didn't find this album engaging.

A Date With The Everly Brothers by The Everly Brothers
Aug 16 2023

This album really bummed me out. All of the songs were super sad lyrics and happy beats, which I usually love, but the sadness was mostly towards women's behavior rather than intrinsic self-hate and that's not my jam. I hope they found peace before they inevitably died.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Aug 17 2023

This is one of my favorite albums I've listened to on this journey thus far. It hit so hard! I had no idea that Thin Lizzy was even good, I've only ever heard two songs by them. This is way better than those two.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Aug 18 2023

It's one of their best albums. In My Life was my first dance with my husband at our wedding so this album will always be special to me.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Aug 21 2023

It was nice.

Blur by Blur
Aug 22 2023

I really hated this album. Blur is not my thing. This album sounded like if the Gorillaz were bad. I literally didn't like one song on it.

I See You by The xx
Aug 23 2023

It wasn’t my thing. It just sounded like pretty generic pop music

Live At The Star Club, Hamburg by Jerry Lee Lewis
Aug 24 2023

This album was fun. Especially because I've only heard other versions of a lot of these songs. Jerry Lee Lewis has a really strong energy when he's singing.
