As a band who specializes in a more radio format of prog rock, bordering on AOR, this sounded like a merely decent result until I heard the first song, is it me, or did everything sound the same? All the songs were quiet, started off with a keyboard/piano solo, and all built up to a climax which had no actual result whatsoever. I also realized that one of the singers had a falsetto that resembled more of the voice of a British cartoon parrot than anything. Oh well, I guess the solo in Crime of the Century was nice.
Highlights: The solo, at least the band was trying

Honestly, the only tracks you should listen to from this album are "The Message", and the other two singles, "Scorpio" and "It's Nasty".
As the first full-length Stooges album I've listened to, this was no doubt some of the greatest 34-minutes ever. The band was fantastic, the solos & riffs just oozed of cool, and Iggy has what a frontman needs to have, presence and character. Everybody complains about the mixes, but they only bothered me on the first couple of listens. Other than that, this is essential listening right here.
Highlights: If I had to give a top 3, I loved the solo in "Gimme Danger", and "Death Trip" and "I Need Somebody" were my other favorites, though every song was fantastic

Possibly one of the greatest starting points of a genre, that genre being Trip-hop. As a result of combining electronic, soul, maybe even some psychedelia & reggae, this provided an all around great experience. For my favorite tracks, the opener, "Safe from Harm" (aka. My favorite), "Five Man Army", and "Unfinished Symphony" all round up for a solid top 3 from this album. This album is absolutely essential, and something you should look into if you want to get into trip-hop.
This album leans too much on being, what I think it wants to be, a chill sci-fi-soundtrack-like album. Unfortunately, it leans highly on that description to the point where it just sounds boring and has nothing noteworthy whatsoever. Whether it would be that weird vocoder stuff, the constant bleep-bloops (don't know about ya’ll but that’s what I heard, and Beth Hirsch’s honestly grating voice, I can't pinpoint what I exactly hate about this album. Although, I did like the orchestra part in "Tailsman", but other than potentially going for what it wants, I guess that’s all the positives.
