1001 Albums Summary

Started off strong and somewhat fell off near the end. Listened to twice on a bike ride and it wasn’t quite what I needed tempo-wise, but still a pretty solid album.

“Sunshine of Your Love” brought the nostalgia, and the rest was alright. Maybe I made a poor choice listening to these on bike rides, but I couldn’t listen a second time on the way back; I needed something faster and heavier.

Not quite my everyday listen, but definitely better suited for a high intensity bike ride than the last two. I enjoyed this one more than I was expecting.

I’m usually not much of a fan of soul, but I can’t deny the quality of music and the emotion captured in this album.

Very close to a 4 for me, but the album as a whole didn’t quite catch me the way I would have liked.

I think that my previous listening to the title track threw me off for the rest of the album. It’s almost like it didn’t not fit musically with the other 8 songs. Those other 8 however, fit nicely with each other and formed a solid album.

Ignoring the controversy with “Dazed and Confused”, this album is excellent (especially considering they spent a total of 30 hours in the studio recording it).
