Covered (whitewashed) songs made by black people in the 50s and 60s. Proto-punk. Drums recorded on 1 mic made for very raw drum track - influenced Nirvana. Copied the singing/yell style of the Contours in Do You Love Me and dispersed it in their other covers. Saxophone sounds like a kazoo. More energetic, distortion, yelling Beach Boys. WWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Alison is a classic the rest is okay. very lyrical but tries to cram too many words in.

Very jazzy too many sax and horn and drum runs.

Very good! there are apparently other good Metallica songs besides enter sandman!

intro tickles my brain. can see how this would have blown peoples minds in the 70s. it still holds up but would not listen to any of these songs again.
