1001 Albums Summary

Ok so I'm sure this is an amazing album and all but I just can't bring myself to really give it a chance. Maybe sometime in the future I will but for now it just sounds cringe to me

Pretty fun, pretty out there for an album that came out shorty before the first black sabbath. Revolutionary politics :)

Pretty interesting sound, I liked the singer a lot. The super tight production isn't really my style.

Listened to about half of it. Obviously there's a lot of talent and cultural relevance here but it just isn't my cup of tea.

Really good album. The female singer has a really nice voice. I should buy this on vinyl.

This is WAY longer than the prince 1999 album but feels about the same length, which is more of a statement about the prince album than this. After a while it gets kind of samey for me but I enjoyed the lyrics, which isn't often something I focus on. The simple arrangements were pretty nice sometimes as well.

I'm not sure whether to give this 2 or 3 stars. I like some of the lyrics (which are not written by billy bragg) and the world view but musically this doesn't really speak to me too much

For most of this album, it was a pretty clear 2 for me. But the last 3 songs push it to a low 3. i'm just not american enough for this I guess, most of it I found to be pretty uninteresting. Maybe they were really revolutionary for a style that has become a convention later but it still feels really generic for most of the album

Ok so although I knew the name, I had never really listened to Beck before this. And I like it way more thank I thought I would. It's pretty varied with lots of surprising elements. Production is pretty good too

It's Queen, they are legends so I'm supposed to love them.

Definitely better than tha weather report album I listened to before this. The beginning I thought was really nice, it kinda lost me after the really long drums solo

This is a very strong 3, I liked it a lot. It's very sentimental though which isn't usually for me. I feel like this one might grow on me over time
